At Christchurch Kindergarten we love books, and we are always emphasising the benefits regular reading can bring to a child's development.
That's why each week we send books home to encourage children and parents to read together.
On World Book Day, we talked about how important and precious books are. We discussed how to handle books, turn their pages and how to get the most from them.
To bring the books to life, children and teachers dressed up in their favourite book characters, such as the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and played the game of 'we're all going on a bear hunt'.
